The May Birchbox featured Stila eyeshadows – which I sadly didn’t get in my box! As a new member, I was given a discount for my first order and at Birchbox, the current month’s items ship for free… so I knew exactly what I was getting.
Now, I haven’t always been a fan of Stila’s shadows as I find their quality inconsistent – sometimes they are chalky and other times they are smooth. The same can be said for the pigmentation of their eye shadows. However, with the discount, it made it affordable for me to try out some neutrals I’ve been after.
I decided to pick up Dune (a matte beige) and Coco (matte brown) for my first Stila shadows. Great choices, I think! The shadows are smooth and they blend easily.

The formulation of these eye shadows are great and I have been using Dune nearly every day as an all over eye color, then accenting with Coco or another eye color. I do use an eye primer to help the look stay all day.
