Amezri wanted to have a shindig (which is a Firefly get-together) this summer. Most people threw together some clothes they got from Salvation Army or what-not, but not me. Oh no...I had to go all out. I used some of the fabric that Amezri sent me from her grandmother's house for the shirt. I got the fabric for the skirt from Joann's. I made the skirt longer using the slip-like pattern. It worked ok, and I had a finite amount of fabric, so I went with it. For the shirt, I did the version with the buttons. I had originally wanted to do the costume shown at the top of the page, but I couldn't find the orange silk to do it. I did my own version, using the blue fabric. I put one ruffle along the bottom of the skirt in the blue and wore my brown sandles. Oh - and I used the Mirror Queen wig (version 2) again. Favorite part: The shirt - it was awesome to have true oriental silk - and for free! Least favorite part: the zipper - I suck at zippers. Also, the skirt
