Harry Potter Death Eater

My friend Lael has already gotten her Slytherin School Robes, and is now requesting to be a Death Eater. She wants to wear it to the book & movie premiere for Order of the Pheonix. Basically, I used the Grim Reaper costume, this time I actually used the under-robe. It took a bit of construction and a few paper patterns to construct the hood, but I think it came out rather nicely. I hand stitched the x's to keep the cone shape together (making it look a little bit more like pieced together leather, I hope).

The mask was kind of last minute - and it rather looks like it, I'm afraid. I used a plastic mask from Michael's and covered it with paper mache (with cinnamon to smell nice).

Favorite part: the headdress, even if it does look like another hood I don't want to mention.

Least favorite part: the mask - it was embarssingly bad
