The Grim Reaper

Fabric Swatch(s):

Plain and simple - Simplicity's version of the Grim Reaper. Dan likes to have spears or scythes with his costumes, and I had decided to be an aspect of Fate, so I figured the two would go together. Also, I had the pattern on hand from the Harry Potter School Robes. As you will see, this pattern has gotten a lot of use…

Favorite part: By the time I made this costume for him, I could do it with my eyes closed and not reading the directions - but the favoritest part of all - I could do the costume as is, with no alterations at all! And no hemming of anything! And I got to rip holes in it. : )

Least favorite part: This was about the 800th time I've used this pattern. Also, the fabric - I couldn't find any type of gauzy fabric to use - black or white. The fabric I used bled onto my hands a lot AND it smelled. *blach* And it was really too limp to properly do the hood. It was cheap, though and I was running out of time.
