Dan and I both enjoy the Resident Evil movie and he has all the games for Play Station 1 & 2 (he's still trying to convince me to get PS3! Haha!). While at I-CON '07, I bought him two Umbrella Corporation patches with the thought that maybe he would like to do a costume. So, not being tactical gear savvy, I enlisted Amezri to put his costume together - with the stipulation that his air soft gun be NOT LOADED (because you give him a projectile weapon and the first thing he does is shoot ME with it. argh!).

After consulting the scifihero boards and other resources, we realized that we did not have the big Umbrella patch that went on the back of their vests (nor the front, small one, but we just did w/o for that one - no one noticed), so I decided to embroider it myself. Thankfully, I started this project in the summer, and was done with plenty of time.

The rest of the costume was purchased and/or borrowed. We borrowed his brother's combat boots (yay police officer brother!) and Amezri's air soft gun.

To bring it all together (and also as a fun Halloween prop) we made T-Viruses and the antidote vials. This is where I came up with a lot of ingenuity (I thought, anyway) - I went to the dollar store and found bird cage accessories that had a water tube with removable ends and fish tank tubing. For the end caps, we used empty tea light tins. Also, my co-worker provided me with an old hot oil treatment tube with gray end caps that was PERFECT, as well as a gift tin that was metal, with a window it in (SO like a picture of a case I saw online with T-Viruses in it). Amezri put the vials together - with a lot of blue & green fingers. Haha! They looked AWESOME, though! Dan carried the big vial of antidote, that was the hot oil treatment.

Favorite part: The T-Viruses really rocked. The embroidered patch I made came out well, too. Dan's favorite part was the comfort. He told everyone all night it was his favorite costume so far because it was so comfy!

Least favorite part: I don't think there was really anything that didn't look great on this costume!
