Quilt Pattern: Card Trick
For Christmas, Dan bought me a gc for a quilting class (I & II) at Joann's. I'm a practiced sewer, but didn't know much about quilting, so that was cool. The first class was all about picking fabric and cutting it. The second class was putting it together, the third was actually quilting it. I decided not to pay $60 to do that. I have two Mom's that can quilt - if I ran into problems, I could ask them. As it turns out, I did pretty well following the directions in the book. I did learn that LOTS of safety pins are a good thing. Haha. Favorite part: This quilt wasn't for anyone, so I had the luxury of it not having to be perfect. Least favorite part: machine quilting isn't all it's cracked up to be. But the worst part was trying to sew the binding. The Quilt:
