Tegan's Baby Quilt

Quilt Pattern: Card Trick

I took what I learned from the first quilt and made a second one for my girlfriend's baby. This time I didn't use the binding method, but sewing it together and then turning inside out. A lot easier, so I was pleased. When I saw the ducky fabric, I just had to use it - but then when I started cutting, I realized (well, before I actually cut it) that the ducks were going to be too big. I was really bummed until I hit on appliquéing the ducks into the middle of the squares. It was SO cute!

Favorite part: the little ducks were adorable. The appliqué came out great!

Least favorite part: I should have appliquéd the ducks on first, so that you couldn't see the quilt lines under them. It wasn't that noticeable, though, but I still knew it was there.
